1. After the first album, Saraya experienced several line-up changes. Barry Dunaway (formerly of Yngwie Malmsteen) replaced Gary Taylor on bass. Munier recorded keyboards and backing vocals on the second album, When the Blackbird Sings, but was unhappy with the direction of the music as it was more guitar driven. [4].

2. Sandi Saraya has a great and very underated voice. It is a shame that they never really peaked on the charts. Both Saraya CD's both have a kind of magic for me. I think that "Blackbird" is a little heavier, but I think that is because "Bruno's" guitar tone has lots of balls (Bring Back The Light). If you are a "POISON" fan, Do not buy any Saraya CD's.

4. This second album (and sadly the only other album) was every bit as good as the first while evolving the band into a slightly heavier and more complex outfit. The songs have a bit more edge to them while still keeping the huge hooks that have them going through your head for days after/5(29).

Mar 12,  · this is such a powerful album saraya's voice is amazing all tracks are brilliant esp when the blackbird sings, the album reflects how good female rock stars from the 80's were they could write their own songs and perform live without any fancy backing singers or equipment definatly one for the collection/5(22).
